Security Officer Truck Gate Evenings

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy distribution center, where you will help monitor entry points, verify access, and support daily security-related operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated access points to help regulate authorized entry and/or exit for people, vendors, and deliveries at the location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, sales floor areas, common areas, and perimeter to help identify security-related concerns and report conditions requiring attention.
• Verify credentials, visitor logs, and/or delivery information while following post orders and access protocols for a retail environment.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
