Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or shipping documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, trailers, docks, and other key parts of the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, yard, dock areas, and perimeter, noting security-related concerns, access issues, and/or operational disruptions that may require follow-up.
• Support vehicle and visitor processing by directing traffic flow, maintaining access logs, and assisting with screening procedures in accordance with site policies and security-related protocols.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
