What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, residents, and service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government services location
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned areas, entrances, common areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report observed concerns
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, maintaining awareness of individuals entering and exiting the location
• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
