Security Officer - Transitional Housing

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, monitoring access points, verifying visitors, and supporting authorized entry and exit at the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and reporting security-related concerns to appropriate staff and/or emergency responders.
• Maintain visibility, conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, observing for maintenance issues, policy violations, and security-related concerns that may require documentation or follow-up.
• Complete required logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, while communicating clearly with residents, visitors, staff, and Allied Universal leadership regarding access control and site activity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
