Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the property, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor resident and visitor movement, verify authorized access where required, and assist with maintaining order during intake, visitation, and/or shift changes at the location.
• Support shelter operations by communicating professionally with residents and staff, assisting with de-escalation when needed, and following post orders for incident reporting, emergency notifications, and other security-related duties.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
