As a Security Officer Transit - Fare Check in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at transit facilities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate personnel and public responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe activity throughout assigned locations, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
- Complete required reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence in a public-facing government transit environment.
Requirements
- Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Skills
- Security-related experience.
- Customer service skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Handcuffing certification.
- Pepper spray certification.
