Job Description
As a Security Officer Transit Fare Enforcement in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy government transit location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support riders and staff through strong customer service and communication.
What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transit location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and public areas, assist with directing foot traffic, and report maintenance concerns, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations to site leadership.
- Support daily operations by providing visible presence, answering questions, and following post orders and communication protocols while interacting professionally with the public and staff.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
