Security Officer - Third Shift
About the role
As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Documentation in Louisville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual conditions.
- Maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and completing required reports.
- Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized activity or security-related concerns.
- Observe shipping and receiving activity, maintain awareness of vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and document relevant security-related events in accordance with site policies.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
