About the role
As a Security Officer Tablet Assisted Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Commercial Real Estate. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to tenants and visitors. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and support a welcoming environment while representing Allied Universal’s values: agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or property management personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, assisting with visitor direction and reporting unauthorized access or property-related concerns.
- Prepare accurate activity, incident, and maintenance-related reports, documenting observations and communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Requirements
- Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$14.42 / hour
