Security Officer Site Patrol

As a Security Officer Site Patrol in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with campus contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, public areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with checking credentials, visitor direction, and after-hours entry procedures in a professional manner consistent with location guidelines.
• Support a welcoming learning environment by reporting hazards, disturbances, and/or maintenance issues, and by providing clear information during routine operations and special events.

Requirements

• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A current guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Skills

• Customer service experience.
• CPR certification.
