About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location in Blythewood, SC. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the site. This role offers the chance to deliver strong customer service and communication while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, care for people, teamwork, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, parking areas, shipping and receiving zones, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and report policy violations, hazards, and maintenance issues observed during patrols.
- Support daily operations by following post orders, preparing clear reports, and assisting with alarm responses, facility checks, and other security-related duties assigned for the location.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- At least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Preferred Qualifications
- Comfort using a computer or tablet.
- Customer service experience.
- Access control and badge experience.
Pay
$19.10 / hour
