Security Officer - Site Access

About the role

As a Security Officer - Site Access in Augusta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a residential location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support residents and guests with outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating observations to appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential location, including common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, helping to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access to the property by observing incoming and outgoing traffic, verifying authorized entry when required, and reporting unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
• Support residential community operations by answering questions, providing directions, and assisting with routine security-related requests while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Skills

• Ability to respond calmly and effectively to emergencies.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills.
