Security Officer Shopping Center Patrol

About the role

Apart from serving and safeguarding clients in retail/malls, you will also contribute to a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and staff. This role offers flexibility in scheduling and the chance to explore new roles through the Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or tenants by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter spaces, to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity across the location to help to identify unusual behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance or operational concerns for follow-up.
• Support a professional environment by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and reporting security-related concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious activity according to site procedures.

Requirements

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications
