As a Security Officer Shopping Center in Thousand Oaks, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefront areas, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, assist with crowd and line management, and provide clear directions and support to guests and/or employees as needed.
• Support loss prevention awareness by observing daily activity, reporting suspicious behavior, and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
