As a Screener in a government location, you will help monitor entry points, screen visitors and staff, support access control processes, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service at a government location by following site-specific procedures, screening protocols, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Screen employees, visitors, and/or contractors entering the location by following established access procedures and checking permitted items for compliance with site requirements.
- Respond to incidents, prohibited item discoveries, and/or unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant information according to post instructions.
- Monitor entrances, screening equipment, and/or public areas to help support orderly access and help to deter unauthorized entry or disruptive activity.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter as assigned, noting security-related concerns and communicating them through proper channels.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
- Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Qualifications
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
Pay and schedule
- Pay Rate: $22.09 / Hour
- Schedule: Daytime, Saturday 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM, Sunday 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
