Security Officer - Second Shift

About the role

As a Security Officer Alarm Panel Response in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while working independently in a construction-focused environment with limited on-site facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate
• Conduct regular and random patrols of construction areas, access points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and unauthorized activity
• Monitor access to the location by verifying authorized personnel, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and reporting access concerns according to site procedures
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment

Preferred skills

• Experience with alarm panels
• Experience with access control and badge systems
• Loss prevention experience
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds

Thursday through Sunday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
