Security Officer-Second Shift
About the Role
Evermore Orlando Resort is redefining the Orlando vacation experience across 1,100 acres, blending spacious, upscale vacation homes, flats, and villas with the luxurious Conrad hotel. As part of our team, you’ll help guests create their own adventures, offering the comforts of vacation home rentals alongside world-class resort amenities. From Orlando’s first and only beach paradise, Evermore Bay—a stunning 8-acre crystal-clear lagoon—to championship golf courses, water sports, and vibrant dining, you’ll play a key role in delivering unforgettable experiences.
Responsibilities
- Interact with golfers and guests, answer questions, and provide directions.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the resort’s layout, function rooms, and local area.
- Effectively engage with internal and external customers, using patience, tact, and diplomacy to resolve issues.
- Follow written and verbal instructions while patrolling the resort via vehicle, foot, or stairs to identify security and safety risks.
- Communicate verbally using cell phones and two-way radios.
- Maintain order, assist with guest concerns (e.g., door locks, safes), and coordinate emergency responses (medical, fire, safety hazards).
- Handle policy violations and civil infractions to ensure guest, employee, and property safety.
- Answer security and safety hotline calls, responding based on priority.
- Prepare accurate, timely computer-generated reports and document incident details legibly.
- Monitor CCTV for unusual activity and report suspicious behavior or alarms to supervisors.
- Write clear, thorough security incident reports after investigations.
- Memorize and monitor life safety systems, including alarm pull stations, fire extinguishers, and sprinklers.
- Keep storage areas clean, organized, and stocked.
- Follow all company, safety, and security policies; report maintenance defects to managers.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to interact with guests using conversational English.
- Strong listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills to document information accurately.
- Attention to detail.
- CPR certification and basic First Aid Certification.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel (e.g., for CPR).
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to perform in a busy environment, including weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Proficiency in reading safety procedures and operating guidelines in English.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit continuously for the duration of the shift.
- Hearing and visual acuity to detect emergency situations.
- Manual dexterity for grasping, lifting, carrying, pulling, and pushing.
- Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances within the property.
- Able to safely lift up to 70 pounds.
- Exposure to indoor and outdoor environmental conditions.
