About the role
As a Security Officer Patrol Operations in Robards, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist shoppers, staff, and visitors with professionalism. You will communicate clearly, respond to concerns, and support a welcoming environment while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, stock areas, parking locations, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe store conditions, reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with site-specific procedures and Allied Universal requirements.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
