Security Officer Routine Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Routine Patrol in Salt Lake City, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and/or delivery traffic, helping to support authorized access and reporting suspicious or unauthorized activity.
• Assist with incident reporting, lost and found inquiries, and/or other routine site support tasks while maintaining professional communication with staff, visitors, and drivers.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Skills

• Customer service experience.
• X-Ray screening experience.
• Computer or tablet proficiency.
• Guard card/license.
