Security Officer Routine Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Routine Patrol in Macedonia, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support guests and staff with outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and notifying appropriate contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, high-traffic areas, and/or other assigned posts to help to deter theft, trespassing, and policy violations while maintaining a professional presence.
• Support retail operations by assisting with access control, reporting hazards or maintenance concerns, and communicating clearly with site leadership and/or local responders when needed.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
