About the role

As an unarmed Security Officer in a dynamic retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable approach while bringing an agile, innovative mindset to each shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, associates, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entry points, parking areas, stockroom areas, and/or perimeter to help deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or access concerns, and report observed issues to site contacts and/or local responders when appropriate.
• Assist with monitoring high-traffic areas, support orderly access and/or exit activity, and provide visible security-related presence during business hours and store opening and/or closing routines.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$16.50 / hour

Schedule

• Part-time
• Friday: 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM
• Saturday: 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM
