Security Officer Retail

Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a retail establishment in Boston, MA. As a Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as retail and malls. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, tenants, vendors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and dining location
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, dining spaces, entrances, loading areas, parking locations, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity
• Monitor access points and observe activity for unusual conditions, reporting maintenance concerns, policy violations, and security-related incidents to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision
• Assist with maintaining an orderly guest experience by providing directions, supporting crowd management during busy periods, and documenting daily activities and incidents accurately

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment

Preferred qualifications

• Access control and badge experience
• Customer service experience

Schedule

Wednesday 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Thursday 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Sunday 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Pay

$19.00 per hour
