Security Officer - Retail Patrol

About the role

GardaWorld Security Services is now hiring a Tactical Security Officer for a full-time position in San Marcos, TX. The schedule is flexible, offering 24-hour shifts on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 4 PM to 12 AM, and 24-hour shifts on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 4 PM to 12 AM and 10 AM to 6 PM respectively.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• At least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirement
• Able to pass both a background and drug screen
• Provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Able to ace and pass an extensive screening process
• First aid certification is an asset
• Able to stand and walk for the entire shift
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – Preferred!
• You have a Texas Security License or able to obtain one
• You have a valid drivers license

Pay

A competitive hourly wage of $17.50 is offered, with DailyPay available for GardaWorld employees.
