Security Officer for Retail Site Patrol

As a Security Officer for Part Time Patrol in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor areas, entrances, exits, stock areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and help to deter unauthorized entry, suspicious behavior, and/or theft-related concerns through visible presence and routine observation.
• Support loss prevention and store operations by documenting incidents, communicating with site contacts, and assisting with security-related requests as needed.

Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement for unarmed roles: 18 years old.
• Minimum age requirement for armed roles: 21 years old.

Skills

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to follow security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Ability to conduct regular and random patrols.
• Ability to respond calmly to incidents and disturbances.
• Ability to monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity.
