Security Officer Retail Patrol

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe for unusual activity, and assist with visitor directions and tenant interactions while following post orders and property protocols.
• Support property operations by communicating maintenance-related or life-related issues noticed during patrols, such as unsecured doors, lighting concerns, and/or suspicious conditions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of security procedures and emergency response protocols.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
