Security Officer Retail Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Retail Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience through strong communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, shoppers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting concerns to site leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and assist with loss prevention awareness by reporting suspicious behavior and/or unauthorized entry attempts.
• Support closing and opening activities, assist with crowd management during busy periods, and provide directions or assistance to guests as needed.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
