Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant security-related details and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, public areas, entrances, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor access points, assist with directional guidance, and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas while following location-specific protocols.
• Support the protection of artwork, exhibits, and facility property by reporting suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to site leadership or emergency contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
