Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Technician in Whittier, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with management and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, stockroom areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee traffic, and help to deter unauthorized entry, disorderly conduct, and/or other security-related issues within the location.
• Support store operations during opening, closing, and busy shopping periods by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with directional questions, and reporting maintenance, hazard, and/or loss prevention concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
