Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer at a dynamic tech and telecommunications location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. In this customer-focused role, you will support access awareness, respond to site needs, and deliver clear communication while representing a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and driven by integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report suspicious activity and/or site policy concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and support visitor processing and/or delivery coordination in accordance with site procedures.
- Assist with alarm response, incident reporting, and follow-up communication related to operational disruptions, facility issues, and/or other security-related concerns.
Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Preferred Skills
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour
- Position Type: Part Time
- Job Schedule: DayTime Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM, Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
