Security Officer Patrol Screening

About the role

As a Security Officer Patrol Screening in Olive Branch, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and team members by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns, unusual activity, and facility issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the yard, loading and unloading areas, parking areas, trailer lots, gate locations, warehouse spaces, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, and delivery personnel, verify credentials and/or access permissions, and document security-related events, observations, and daily activity.
• Support vehicle and foot traffic flow at the location by observing shipping and receiving areas, noting operational disruptions, and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Skills
