About the role
Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location in Kingsport, TN. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to site needs. This role provides exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to an agile, reliable, and caring team that values innovation, teamwork, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and/or other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and promptly notify designated personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, vehicle, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, access violations, facility hazards, and/or unusual conditions through detailed logs and incident reports.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Preferred Qualifications
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet.
- Access control and badge experience.

$15.34 / hour

- Monday: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
- Tuesday: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
- Saturday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
