Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Operations in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic, administrative, and common areas, as well as around building exteriors and perimeter locations, to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, hallways, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help support authorized access and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Assist with security-related escorts, directions, and general support at the location, while maintaining professionalism during routine operations and special events.

Minimum Requirements

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
