About the role

As an unarmed Security Officer Patrol Driver at a shopping center in Irvine, CA, you will drive between assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support guests with outstanding customer service and communication. This role involves working in retail/mall environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with management and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout storefronts, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to identify unusual activity, assist visitors, and/or support access control practices.
• Document observations, incidents, and/or daily activities in required reports while following Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
