About the Role
As a Security Officer Loss Prevention Patrol Driver in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at an automotive location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service and communication. This driving post requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at an automotive manufacturing and operations location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document and communicate observations according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, production-adjacent spaces, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and assist with verifying authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol observations, and unusual activity, and promptly notify appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- CPR certification is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
