Security Officer Patrol Customer Service Specialist

About the role

As a Security Officer Patrol Customer Service Specialist in Lido Beach, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a public education location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to site contacts and/or local authorities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, visitor activity, and/or after-hours access while supporting school staff, students, and community visitors with directions and other site-related assistance.
• Document observed conditions, incidents, and/or unusual activity in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.

Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum age requirement for unarmed roles: 18 years old.
• Minimum age requirement for armed roles: 21 years old.

Skills

• Ability to respond calmly and professionally to incidents and disturbances.
• Knowledge of security policies and procedures.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
