Security Officer Customer Service Patrol

As a Security Officer Customer Service Patrol in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations according to post instructions.
• Support day-to-day operations by providing directions, answering general questions, completing assigned reports, and assisting with security-related requests in a professional manner.

Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
