Job Description
As a Security Officer Patrol New York State License in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and support badge and visitor processes. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and use technology to document security-related activities.
What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or vendors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, maintaining awareness of authorized entry procedures and reporting unusual conditions to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and incident documentation, communicating relevant observations to appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
