Security Officer Corporate Building Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location in New York, NY, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors while representing Allied Universal’s values: agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, observe activity throughout the property, and report suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and communications with Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Day shift: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Monday through Friday
