About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a premier commercial real estate location in New York, NY, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and report security-related concerns. This role offers the opportunity to provide professional customer service while working collaboratively with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and guided by integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and building personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property common areas, lobbies, parking facilities, loading docks, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, visitor activity, and delivery or contractor entry in accordance with site policies; report unusual conditions and assist with directing authorized personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and shift communications for building management and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Possess at least six months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$17.85 - 18.85 / hour
