Job Description

As a Security Officer New York State Licensed Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a premier commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with tenants, visitors, and staff while supporting a welcoming environment. • Position Type: Full Time
• Pay Rate: $18.85 / Hour
• Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday — 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building common areas, lobbies, parking facilities, loading docks, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to identify and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs of visitors, deliveries, incidents, and other security-related events.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken according to site procedures.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity, property damage, and policy violations through visible presence, professional communication, and timely reporting to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Have X-Ray screening experience (preferred).
• Have access control or badge experience (preferred).
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
