Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Compliance Agent in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail mall location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for guests and tenants. This role is ideal for professionals who value teamwork, act with integrity, and bring reliable, customer-focused communication to every shift.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and mall location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or local responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to control access, observe unusual behavior, and support a positive experience for guests and retail personnel.
• Assist with closing procedures, after-hours checks, and routine inspections of assigned areas, following post orders and communicating maintenance, lighting, and/or property-related issues to the appropriate contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
