About the role

As a Security Officer Patrol Alarm Systems in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help to deter incidents, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate in a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unusual conditions or unauthorized access attempts.
• Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while supporting a professional workplace environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred skills

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Pay & schedule

Pay Rate: $17.70 / Hour. Position Type: Full Time. Schedule: Day, Time: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM (Tue), 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM (Sat), 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM (Sun).
