About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location in Norfolk, VA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and document observations using computer or tablet systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the business perimeter, reporting unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site policies, while maintaining professional interactions with visitors and personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Pay

$19.64 / hour

Schedule

• Saturday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sunday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
