As a Security Officer Alarm Panel Monitor in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer at a residential apartment location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support residents, guests, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with property management and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for maintenance and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points, amenity spaces, and other community areas, assisting with visitor-related questions, rule awareness, and reporting unusual activity.
• Support a professional residential environment by preparing clear reports, following post orders, and communicating important updates during shift changes and/or with Allied Universal leadership.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred Skills

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and first aid certification are preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Pay & Schedule

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Position Type: Full Time

Schedule: Day time, Tuesday 05:30 PM - 02:00 AM, Friday 05:30 PM - 02:00 AM, Saturday 05:30 PM - 02:00 AM, Sunday 05:30 PM - 02:00 AM
