About the role
As a Security Officer Patrol Alarm Panel Monitoring in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Commercial Real Estate. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response. You will engage professionally with tenants, visitors, and staff while delivering outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial real estate buildings, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity and deter unauthorized access.
- Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
- Monitor access points and observe building activity, reporting maintenance concerns, suspicious conditions, and security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of security-related experience.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
