Security Officer Part Time Visitor Credentialing

About the role

As an Access Control Officer supporting a dynamic aerospace and defense location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and maintain awareness of access activity. Your visible presence and customer-focused communication will help deter security-related incidents while supporting authorized personnel and visitors. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Verify identification, access credentials, and visitor authorizations in accordance with site requirements; maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Monitor access points, alarms, and visitor activity; report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and policy violations through established channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Pay

$24.47 / Hour

Schedule

• Day shift: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
• Saturday and Sunday availability required
