Security Officer Part Time Unarmed - Property Access

About the role

Allied Universal® is seeking a Part‑Time Unarmed Security Officer – Property Access in Blythewood, SC, to serve and safeguard clients in manufacturing and industrial settings. The role offers flexible scheduling through the “Claim a Shift” platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, escalating concerns per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor and report security‑related conditions, unusual activity, and potential hazards to site contacts or Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports while following established access‑control, visitor‑management, and reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• Access control and badge experience (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Comfort using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
• Successful background investigation and drug screening as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state or local regulations.

Pay

$19.10 per hour.

Schedule

Daytime shifts: Friday 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM; Saturday 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM.
