About the role
Allied Universal® is seeking a Part‑Time Unarmed Security Officer – Property Access in Blythewood, SC, to serve and safeguard clients in manufacturing and industrial settings. The role offers flexible scheduling through the “Claim a Shift” platform.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, escalating concerns per site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter.
- Monitor and report security‑related conditions, unusual activity, and potential hazards to site contacts or Allied Universal leadership.
- Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports while following established access‑control, visitor‑management, and reporting procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 2 years of security‑related experience.
- At least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
- Access control and badge experience (preferred).
- Customer service experience (preferred).
- Comfort using a computer or tablet (preferred).
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
- Successful background investigation and drug screening as required by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply per state or local regulations.
Pay
$19.10 per hour.
Schedule
Daytime shifts: Friday 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM; Saturday 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM.
