About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related needs, and support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established hospital protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying authorized access as directed, and providing directions to patients and visitors.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with site procedures.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

• Tuesday: 06:00 PM - 02:00 AM
