Security Officer - Part Time Unarmed Patrol Visibility

About the role

As a Part-Time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer in Vienna, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as financial institutions. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service while communicating professionally with employees, visitors, and partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and clients at a financial institution while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the building, business areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age (18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles).
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
