About the role

Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer at a premier hotel and resort location in Honolulu, HI. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to guests, residents, and staff. Use communication skills and technology to report security-related concerns while supporting a welcoming environment. This is a part-time, unarmed patrol role with computer documentation responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of hotel condominium common areas, entrances, parking areas, amenities, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe resident, guest, and visitor activity in accordance with property procedures.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as directed.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• A state, county, or city-issued license for security-related work is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
